 Semi-private lessons are recommended for the busy student who benefits from practice time at the lesson, and motivation from peers to progress in piano. Semi-private lessons work best for ages 4-11 in a fun environment with children who are the same grade level. Students can be at different levels of piano study, and progress at their own pace because they get individual time from the teacher. Lessons are one hour per week. There are 3 students in each class. Students have an individual piano lesson, work on computers or theory workbooks, practice, and participate in group activities. Certificate of merit students may take semi-private lessons at Preparatory and Level 1. Please call for scheduling and pricing.
Private lessons are recommended for the student who has shown that they can practice consistently. Private lessons are recommended for age 11 and up, adults and Certificate of Merit Levels 2 and up. In a 1/2 hr. private lessons the focus is on technique and repertoire.
